Coincidences

Been a little occupied this few days, still am but I have too much on my mind that I gotta put them to good eyes before I forget! :P

Do you believe that everything is predestined? Or do you think that everything that happens is a mere coincidence? For me, I don't think God has the time to "preset" everything for billions of people out there. It's just my opinion.

Situation:
Dodo: I don't believe that God can "preset" everyone's destiny. It's impossible.
Lala: That's why we call him "God"!
Dodo: It's logically impossible. Tell me how He does it then.
Lala: Aiya, how God does things, we people donno one lah!
Dodo: You don't even know, why do you believe then?
Lala: Cause he is God mah!
Dodo: ...
I guess that I'm more of a free thinker than a Christian, which I only use to fill in forms which has a field for religion. Would've put "Muslim" for better benefits, but I don't think I wanna change my name to Angelina binti Abdullah any soon. I chose to write "Christian" over "Buddhist" because my mum believes in Jesus, and it's the religion which facts sound the most logical to me out of the illogicals.

Back to the topic: coincidences. This, is what I've concluded after many years of thinking about how humans actually appear on Earth and their destiny. I think that most of the things that happen, happen because coincidences - from the creation of humans, to determining who lives and who dies.

How were humans created? Let me bring you back to billions and billions of years ago, long before the dinosaurs even existed. I call this Angelina's Theory. *hopes that someone from National Geographic coincidently comes across this post and creates a simulation of my theory*

The earth was still empty and the weather was still very very unstable. Earthquakes, volcano eruptions, meteoroids crashing in, weather storms... The galaxy was still young and because of its unstableness, nothing could survive back then. As the weather stabilises and the temperature becomes more optimum, life begins. As we know, everything is made up of matter. We humans consists of calcium, iron etc, which are also found in the ground. So when everything (weather, temperature and such) becomes coincidently optimum for living things to survive, some elements and compounds which are coincidently created near to each other after thousands of natural disasters, chemically reacts with each other and coincidently happen to be the right combination to form life. No, that's not how humans magically appear. Creatures then were unicellular organisms, so tiny that they could not be seen with the naked eye. After centuries and centuries of mating and therefore improving genetically and thus evolving to suit the habitat, the cells have learnt to work with each other, forming multicellular organisms. How we look today is because a particular organism coincidently met a partner and their combination evolved after billions of years to form humans. Meet with another and we might grow horns.

So yeah, evolutions after evolutions has led to today, and has led to me writing this. But, let me tell you this - not everything HAS to be a coincident, but everything can be related to it. Good coincidences are called "lucky", bad ones are called "suey". We work hard because good coincidences don't always happen, and we can't take that risk as we don't have nine lives. Let me give you a situation to help you understand more of this theory of mine:
Situation A: You worked hard in you company and your boss is delighted. He gives you a promotion and a pay rise.

Situation B: You worked hard in a company but your luck is so suey and you met a stingy boss. Your contributions are not acknowledged.
You can be hardworking, but luck also plays a role. Meeting the right people at the right time, and saying the right thing at the right time helps. Life and death are also influenced by coincidences. I talked about this theory with my friend, Jolene, and it turned out that we had thought of the same thing before, but never really talked about it. It is the "point-of-view thingy" (POVT). We haven't really gave it a name yet, but I can explain to you what it is. People might call these souls, but we had something else in mind. Every time life is created, a POVT would be created as well, and it coincidently becomes "you". We see things from this angle, this everything, not another. And we wonder, "Why am I in this body and not that body? How come that POVT gets to be in that gorgeous body?!" Well, one answer, it's all a coincidence. And I happened to be suey, LOL!

Well, this is my theory. What's yours?

~ Angelina, a suey POVT.

The True Colours of Malaysia - Revealed?

"Malaysia is a safe place to live in!" - Really?

"Muhibah!" - Says who?

Ah, Malaysia... Don't judge a book by its cover. Many are fooled by alluring news and advertisements which are actually shadowing the true colours of Malaysia. No, the truth shall be revealed by us, as citizens of this feigned country!

We blog about it, talk about it... Hoping that people will realise the truth. Now, its true colours are even published in the encyclopedia! Or rather, the Uncyclopedia.

"Omfg, WORDS!" Just read it, it's worth your time.

"You should love your country."

Yes I do, but we also have to prevent the members of the parliament from getting gaji buta some secrets are not meant to be kept, unless you want the taxes you pay to go to waste :P

Qualified?

Every teacher holds a certificate - degree, master, whatever. However, a question still lies.

Is every teacher really qualified to be a teacher?

What does the word qualify mean? Does getting a certificate mean that someone is qualified to be a teacher?

I don't deny that they must have a good amount of knowledge to be able to obtain a so-called qualification to become a teacher, yet our country's education produces hundreds and thousands of illiterate students every year, causing the increase of number of school dropouts and crime rate year after year.

Why?

During my co-curricular activity last week, I overheard an afternoon session teacher while she was in class.

Teacher: ABC! 29 marks! Come out!
ABC: *walks out*
Teacher: Why you get so low?
ABC: *speechless*
Teacher: Take out your hand!
ABC: *looks at teacher with fearful eyes*
Teacher: TAKE OUT YOUR HAND!
ABC: *takes out hand slowly*
Teacher: *WHACK!*

If caning makes a student smarter, go ahead. But does it? Instead of caning them, shouldn't the teacher be hitting herself with a 10-foot long pole for failing to help the students pass their exams? Caning will only lower the students' self-esteem and make them hate studying even more. She has a certificate, but tell me, is this teacher qualified to be a teacher?

Good teachers are assigned to good classes only, the unqualified ones, the makan gaji buta ones, will be assigned to the not-so-good classes, worsening the scenario. Yes, the sad truth.

As a teacher, he or she is responsible to make sure that the students understands what is taught, and guide them if they fail to cope. But no... They have this tidak peduli attitude, they don't care if you can earn a living or not in the future, all they care is filling their filthy pockets with green paper the government issue to them without fail every month.

Not every teacher is like this. Fortunately, my teachers are not. But the other classes? I doubt their ability to teach.

If you know that you can't teach, don't. Don't ruin other people's life and drive the country to chaos.

Banana Wannabe

Banana:

Definition 1: A crescent-shaped, yellow fruit.

Definition 2: A term given to Chinese people who doesn't speak Chinese. Just like a banana, they're yellow on the outside, but white in the inside.

I'm not a banana, I'm a banana wannabe (referring to definition number 2, FYI :P). "Why would anyone wanna BE a banana?" You would ask. Frankly, I don't know. Maybe I'm just plain weird or what, but I really wish I don't know Chinese.
Chinese - Chinese language = Banana = Cute
Yes, I'm insane =) I love my banana friends! *hugs Jolene and Jillian* I love banana people! I don't like eating bananas.

I know that China has large market opportunities and stuff, but I-hate-that-language.

This is how you write "I" in English:

This is how you write "I" in Chinese:

YOU SEE?!! How could I NOT hate it? And the teachers are not helping at all, in fact they make me hate that language more by adding unnecessary words to my beautifully written essay, making it look like I just wrote a primary-level essay. OI TEACHER! I write this style for NINE friggin' years and got A ok? Don't you tell me that my writing style is wrong. Pfft.

The goods of understanding Chinese:
  1. China's market
  2. Communicating with non-bananas.
  3. Understanding texts written in Chinese, especially during trips.
  4. Play Chinese games (which I don't because of those friggin' characters)

The bads of understanding Chinese:
  1. Forced to memorise 2 extremely long proverbs for every chapter we learn, including their definitions, author and which book it came out from, which is extremely ridiculous. There are at least 20 chapters a year, which makes approximately 40 proverbs a year. We also need to memorise the peralihan level ones. For SPM level, we need to know 40 x 6 = 240 proverbs by heart.
  2. The characters are VERY complicated, thus making homework torturous.
  3. Chinese education focuses on memorising and copying.
  4. Making result sheets look bad.
  5. Learning unnecessary grammar.
  6. Calligraphy (Why the hell do we need this when there is something called the "PEN" and the "PENCIL" invented?)
  7. Extra hours of classes in school.
  8. So many more that this list will never end.
Differences between me and Jolene:
Jolene: I was meant to go to a Chinese school but my mum changed her mind! Argh!

Me: I was meant to go to a Kebangsaan school but my mum changed her mind! Argh!

Perfect! Trust me, 0.5% of each subject is enough for ANYONE to get an A :P *prepares to get poked by Jolene*

I know that understanding Chinese is an advantage, but it really, REALLY makes people suffer (that is unless you are a Chinese language pro, but then other languages surely not as good lor =/)

Everytime I say, "I wanna become a bananaaaaaa!", I get =.+|| expressions from my friends. Guess I've provided enough reasons for why I am a banana wannabe? =)

~ Angelina, the banana wannabe.

The Face Behind The Blog

Yes, yes. I know it's been a lot of days since I kena tag but I only do it today :P First tag must plan nicely mah! =X

Anyway, this tag is from MonkeyWong, which is titled, "The face behind the blog." So... Here's a picture of me and my friend!

What? Ohh... The length of the hair gave me out -_-

My hair is long and quite straight, even my friend didn't believe that I didn't go for any hair treatments until last year, when she realised that my hair texture didn't change all year round. But when I was in primary school, my hair always get entangled, and was even a little curly. Yes, curly, not WAVY. I didn't know how it got so straight once I reached secondary school. Here's the straightest I can comb it to:

Straight right? I'm proud of it :) BUT! I always don't comb my hair, even when I go out to eat right after my bath, so look like a siao zhar bor most of the time, wahahaha.

Yes, I know my nose very big, there's no need to remind me of that huge nose =/

Enough about straight hair! Now time for siao zhar bor pictures :P

This is sad ._. When I wear my retainers, my mouth will have a weird shape. It's so uncomfortable! That's why I don't wear it most of the time.

Bet you're asking now, "Why all also in the living room one?!" Cause the living room IS my room, and my only world, that's why. I am always at home, at home and at home. I seldom go anywhere cause my mum is always "too busy". So yea, I'm a katak di bawah tempurung, only know what's going on on the net and not in real life.

When I was studying for my last exam, I think my mum was using my laptop or something, then she used the webcam and snapped, lol:

I'm not hardworking, looks can be deceiving you know :)

There's this picture, it was taken by me the day after I went to participate in the inter-school scrabble competition, I stayed home because I was so sick. I look awful and I don't even look like me -_-

See lar! My face looked like I pumped water in it or something. And my eyes are like bulging out already. Sick, sick, SICK! Luckily I didn't look THAT bad during the competition, or did I? :(

Finally, the last face behind the blog...

Don't remind me of my huge nose please X(

All-in-one update!

As you all can see, I have changed my layout again! This is the 3rd skin I made. My second layout was for my cousin. So, how is it? :) I might wanna re-photoshop the graphic and put the title "Misty Street" right in the middle of the blog when I have the time.

And I have to abandon the Warez site project cause my mum objected :( Nevermind! My next project will be about bring you the best freewares ever! *I don't know why but I'm obsessed with softwares*

I know I post too little, here is a long post to compensate :P

- - -

Yesterday, I went to Blue Wave Hotel to celebrate my 2-year-old cousin's and my grandmother's birthday. Before dinner and the celebration, I played with the birthday girl. Look what she did to my hand!

Omg, stickers!

Cham!

When I pulled off the stickers, my hair also kena cabut together! Pain you know! That's why I now have lesser hair on my left hand. So imbalanced xD

Then there were these mini chocolate tubs my other cousins brought. I didn't eat them cause it's not the kind of bitter pure chocolate I like, but my baby cousin finished the entire tub herself.

Ya' like ma' beard?

I want another tub! =(

That's my mum behind the second picture :D Then I took a few more shots of her, she's just so cute!

Aww, doesn't she look adorable? :)

Finger lickin' good!

The pictures aren't so clear cause I'm using only a Nokia 3220.

After dinner, the celebration began. There were two different chocolate cakes. I think I ate too much cause I felt like throwing up after eating them, haha. On the way home, my cute little cousin was singing the birthday song at the top of her voice, over and over again! xD Soooooo cute!

- - -

The school holidays are over and I have to go to school tomorrow, which means getting my results back *sigh* After almost 2 weeks of dieting sleeping late and thus waking late and THUS missing a lot of breakfasts, I think I have slimmed down xD I didn't realise that at first until today, I tried to wear a size 26in pants, which was too tight before this, and it fitted! Not tight at all! I know, I know, a lot of people 24 or 25 only, but for a 49kg girl, 26 is small already ok!

Weird, some people say I'm overweight, some say I'm not. I asked one of my friends last year if I was fat, she said, "You're not fat, you're actually nicely rounded." LOL! Another way of describing 'fat'! I'm actually kinda chubby, but I didn't make a point to exercise or go on a diet, that's why I always suffer during Ujian Daya Tahan Asas (UDTA) xD

- - -

Okay, time to go! Need to complete my moral project -_- *takes textbook and copies blindly* I question the point of these projects. Every year we just copy blindly from either:

- Notes teacher gave
- Textbook
- Past year students' project (teacher provide =.=)

... and get full marks! Good also lah, free marks for exams, lol.

P.S.: I'll do the tag tomorrow :D

Something new!

YES! The project I have been planning to launch since quite some time has finally been launched! I know by starting this project, I risk getting flamed - badly. But, what the heck :) There are many risks we must take in life, right?

Introducing my first ever warez blog! Please visit Wares & Warez™ for more information. Thank you and hope you support it :) If you don't, I understand.

Next! Have you all heard about MSN 8.5? Since it's also new and has relevance to the post topic, I might as well include it here. I can't get the English version to work, so I downloaded the Spanish version and copied the .dll language file in its directory. It has a touch of the Windows Vista™ style, not much new features yet I guess, still in beta mah :) Here's a screenie of it:

Got class right? I especially like the lighting effect at the top of the messenger. If you notice, the advertisement down there is about Paris Hilton's home detention :P

Also, I downloaded Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne a few days ago (yes, warez). Guess what? I started playing DotA! Kena owned gao gao by a GIRL friend TWO years my junior! Omg ._. I also played campaign mode. At the end of the game (the credits part), they actually showed a short clip of Prince Arthas playing an ice guitar =_=" Those who played Warcraft III should know who I'm talking about.

LOL!

Save The Houseflies?

*Muah* Come kiss kiss!

You're kidding, right? Save the houseflies?!

I was eating my lunch when a pesky housefly flew by and kissed my food. No matter how I whack, no matter how I flung my pillow at it, like always, it got away. And since I was too free and have nothing better to do, I Googled for "houseflies kiss". Yes. I very the bo liao. Then on the first page of the search, I saw "DocieB saves the houseflies". My reaction immediately turned:

No I don't play Maple Story.

So I clicked it to read on. The last line was:

"Remember, they are not regurgitating on their food to eat it, they are kissing their food in praise."

I was like, "Err, hello? More like kissing you to your death?" Imagine what kind of diseases these creatures might bring!

Sweet, Hot, & Nice Body

Been a little occupied lately, but here comes a post!

I opened a new Skype account a few days ago and messaged some people to chat with. Almost none replied. Until suddenly, *beep*! YAY! A reply! It was from a guy from the US. After chatting for a while, he said:

Ignore that stupid nickname -_- I was super bored. Anyway, I quickly went to Friendster to search for a picture. I came across this punk guy who REALLY look like a girl. I even thought he was a girl until I saw a picture caption asking people not to misunderstand, saying that he is actually a guy. So I saved a picture of the "girl" and sent it to that US guy. This is the picture I sent:

Leng lui, right? *jealous* I WANT THOSE LEGS =O Anyway, this is how to conversation continued:

LOL! I really cannot tahan my laughter, if only he knew he was praising a guy xD So, as requested, I sent him another picture:

Nice hair! I want, I want! This picture has led to:

I laughed so hard till my tummy hurt! LOL. But this guy ar, *sigh* so greedy:

But nevermind! I'm also greedy, I want more stuff to laugh at! So I sent him this:

NICE LEGSSSSSS! GIMME! GIMME! Anyway, this led to:

Hahaha! So guys, don't believe everything you see. Even if the pictures show a HOT zhar bor, it might be a guy also!
